The Staffordshire Council of Voluntary Youth Services (SCVYS) have recently started working on a project called “Us2”. The Us2 project runs until 2012. It will work in rural parts of Stafford borough to encourage engagement between young people and other members of the rural communities. They are holding an event on Friday 27th August in Woodseaves, Stafford, intending to engage with young people and the communities, and to show examples of what young people can get involved in. Local artists are offered the opportunity to have a space at this event for free, giving them a chance to speak to the community organisers who will be running the youth activities starting in September. Perhaps participating artists could also offer a short activity? Full details from: Jessica Wilkes-Mellor at:  jessica.mellor@staffordshire.gov.uk
