The Stone & District University of the Third Age (U3A) is considering the possibility of running educational courses for people not in full-time employment. There is also a meeting taking place to consider starting a much-needed Stoke branch of the U3A. As such they are now inviting initial expressions of interest from potential teachers, so they can work out the sorts of classes and courses that it might be feasible to provide. Interested? Midsummer’s day has passed, and thoughts turn to… Christmas pantomimes! The Lyceum Theatre at Crewe is auditioning for children’s roles (8-16) in their Snow White Christmas pantomime. The audition date is set for 3rd July 2011, 9.45am for a 10am start. Full details from:  01270 537333.
