There is set to be a short celebration/exploration of the Hanley Bus Station, Stoke-on-Trent, on 10th December 2011 (1pm – 3:30pm). Places are limited to just 15. Successful applicants will…

“explore the bus station and upstairs precinct with an introduction by Coffee Bar employee Carole, giving her personal account of the changing bus station over the last 16 years. [Also with] An introduction and dissemination of architects plans by Simon Hourihan, project manager for the new bus station development, and finally onto Peppers Garage for a tour by the owner Andrew Smith including footage of his extensive restoration.”

Stoke-on-Trent’s Stoke Your Fires 2012 film festival has a new opportunity for film and animation students (currently in higher or further education in the UK). You’re asked to create a ‘sting’ (around 10 seconds). The best will be screened before films being shown at Stoke Your Fires, and also shown on the website. The winner will also get two tickets to a core training programme, worth in excess of £500. All films need to be complete and uploaded to YouTube by 5pm on 13th January 2012, and your completed entry form sent to:

Your firm has to be in the Information, Communication & Technology, Creative Digital, or Business & Professional Services sectors.
