Added to the Directory: High House is the name of Staffordshire University’s new wallpaper company, tapping into the design talents of the degree in Surface Pattern design. Their debut collection is inspired by the Elizabethan-era Ancient High House in Stafford town. The new collection was launched at the ‘Tent’ design trade expo in London (20th-23rd September 2012).

Further collections to go into production will include: the Town Garden Collection incorporates designs inspired by the flora found in gardens around Stafford; Greengate which depicts scenes of modern daily life in Stafford; the Dorrington Collection is inspired by patterned wallpaper fragments uncovered during the extensive restoration work at the Ancient High House; and the Carpenter Collection which celebrates the craftsmanship in wood of those involved in the construction of The Ancient High House and is geometric in design.
